BloomStruck® Hydrangea is a Bigleaf Hydrangea with large, vibrant blooms that shift from violet-blue to rose-pink, depending on soil pH. This shrub flowers all summer on both old and new wood, making it an excellent choice for various settings. Sturdy ruby-red stems and glossy deep green leaves, which turn burgundy-red in the fall, provide year-round interest.
At maturity, BloomStruck Hydrangea reaches 4-6 feet tall with a 5-foot spread. It grows quickly and can live up to 20 years under ideal conditions. Best grown in partial shade, it prefers acidic soil but adapts well to different soil types. Highly tolerant of urban pollution, it thrives in city environments and benefits from a thick mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and protect it in exposed locations.
